Abstract

The exploitation status of the fishery resources of River Okura was studied from November 2014 to October, 2016. The specific objectives were to survey the type of fishermen, species of fish exploited along the river and to estimate the exploitation rate. Parameters used to estimate exploitation rate include instantaneous mortality coefficient (Z), natural mortality (M) and fishing mortality (F).
